Weekly Communication 3.12.19

Good evening! There's definitely excitement and anxiety in our household this week. Good luck to everyone competing at the state qualifiers this week. Coach Mat wanted me to send a reminder that all WIAA high school rules will apply for all ages - hair length, uniform, mouth guards for braces, etc. Please ask a coach if you have any questions. I've attached the qualifier information sheet. There are lots of details, so please read carefully. Early bird sign up ends tonight at midnight. Pictures! Jim Valley would like to have pictures of any of our wrestlers attending the state qualifer this weekend for our club facebook page. Please send a picture of your wrestler to sdwrestlingclub@gmail.com. You can include candids, action shots, and especially podium pictures! Thanks in advance. State Qualifier t-shirts and hotel rooms: The top two finishers in each weight class advance to Madison for the state competition on March 22-23. The wrestling club is holding a block of rooms in Madison. Qualifier families will have first dibs on the rooms. There are typically additional rooms available in the block for other wrestling families who want to show their support. Information regarding t-shirts and hotel will be sent to qualifiers on Saturday evening. Please watch your e-mail as it will be important to respond timely. Youth Banquet: SAVE THE DATE! This year's youth banquet will be held on Tuesday, April 2. Wrestling singlets and other borrowed items -shoes, etc. should be returned on this night. Supper will be provided along with a brief celebration of our youth wrestlers. The middle school banquet will be held on a separate date. Please watch for details.
